On Friday, July 3, 2026, from 12:15 p.m., B.S.P. Suita held an “Origami Event” at IRIS. A total of 9 international students and 6 local students participated.
Participants made Tanabata decorations with origami while enjoying conversation with one another. They taught each other how to fold the decorations and talked about their cultural backgrounds and seasonal traditions in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 4:30 p.m., the Games & Traditional Clothes Party hosted by OUISA was held at IRIS and a classroom in the IC Hall. A total of 20 international students and 3 local students participated in the event.The event began with a flag-guessing game and an intro quiz, followed by a runway-style presentation in which international students dressed in traditional clothing walked like models and introduced their outfits.
Participants enjoyed interacting with one another while deepening their understanding of various cultures.
On May 30, 2026, a global talent networking event for international students seeking employment in Japan was jointly held with the Nara Institute of Science and Technology at the Osaka University Nakanoshima Center.
A total of eight companies, including Nippon Shinyaku Co., Ltd. and NTT DATA Information Technology, participated in the event. Following the company presentations, students had the opportunity to interact directly with company representatives at individual booths through business introductions and Q&A sessions.
In total, 76 international students attended the event, including 36 students from the University of Osaka. According to the post-event survey, approximately 96% of participants responded that the event either “exceeded their expectations” or “met their expectations.” The event provided students with a valuable opportunity to interact with companies from a wide range of industries and deepen their understanding of Japanese companies and career opportunities in Japan.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m., B.S.P. Minoh hosted a takoyaki party. A total of 15 students participated: 7 international students and 8 local students. In addition to the classic octopus filling, participants enjoyed takoyaki with a variety of ingredients such as tomatoes, cheese, and chocolate. There were moments when members from the Kansai region shared tips on how to cook takoyaki, and throughout the event the students enjoyed lively conversation in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
June 25th (Thu.), 2026, 12:15-“Dialect Café” was held by B.S.P.Toyonaka at Toyonaka Branch. The number of participants was 6 international students and 13 local students. B.S.P. members explained some well-known Osaka and Hiroshima dialect expressions with example sentences, allowing the participants to use them in conversation. They enjoyed interacting while talking about not only Japanese dialects but also Korean and Chinese dialects. The event was lively and successful.
